maria seisenbacher
was born in Vienna in 1978, lives and works as a poet, translator into easy language and caretaker of three children in Vienna.
Completed the studies of comparative literature with a master’s thesis on Yoko Tawada and Ingeborg Bachmann. As a certified social pedagogue and trainer of people with and without learning difficulties lectures and workshops on political education and easy language.
Some poems have been translated into Persian, BKS, English, Macedonian and Hungarian. A book of poems has been translated into Swedish. Receiving invitations to national and international poetry festivals and readings (e.g. Struga Poetry Evenings, Macedonia; Days of Poetry and Wine, Slovenia). Awarded to numerous scholarships and prizes.
